Types of DNA Testing
There are several different ways that DNA is analyzed. Three main types of analysis are: RFLP Analysis: This process is very accurate, but requires a large quantity of an undisturbed sample of DNA. PCR Analysis: This process is very accurate, and requires only a small sample because it amplifies the amounts of specific region of DNA. This is the process used mostly by FBI. STR Analysis: This method is based on PCR and is the most prevalent used in solving crimes.
